SHOULD / SHOULDN'T


-Usamos "should" para dar consejos o para decir lo que creemos que sería conveniente hacer.

-SHOULD es un verbo modal también, así que no añade -s en la tercera persona del singular y va seguido de un verbo en su forma base (sin "to").

I should go to the dentist.
He should go to bed.


-La negativa se forma añadiendo "not" y la forma contraída es "shouldn't".

People should not criticise other people.
They shouldn't be here.


-Las preguntas empiezan por Should + el sujeto. Y si es una Wh-question, ponemos la partícula interrogativa delante de should.

Should I go to the party?
What should I wear?



-En las respuestas cortas se pone el pronombre sujeto correspondiente + el verbo modal.

Yes, you must.
No, they musn't.
Yes, you should.
